Welcome to the webpages devoted to local history information for three of the small parishes in the South Winterborne Valley, situated to the south of Dorchester in Dorset.

This website is part of the Dorset OPC project, whose mission is to make local and family records freely available to all online.

  • Dorset County Council weblinks fixed and Parish Boundary Map uploaded. Links to MP, Monkton Art Gallery, Wiltshire OPC updated. Link to Hampshire OPC added.

  • Several pages changed with slight amendments, including Came Rectory, Useful Addresses and Councils pages.

26-27 May 2007

  • Came Marriages 1843-1847 and 1875-1899 added. Marriages between 1929 and 1952 are available on request.
  • Wiltshire and Swindon Record Office references changed to read 'Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre'. It is in the process of moving from Trowbridge to new premises close to the railway station in Chippenham, to reopen in late October 2007.
